CURRICULUM

    

      The curriculum that I used during my teaching was the Curriculum 2013. The Curriculum 2013 focuses on the holistic development of the students. Where every subject supports all competencies such as attitude, skill and knowledge. It is based on process oriented, not product oriented that's why it is more on authentic assessment. The instructional activities of all subjects have the same approach, in my case I taught English subject in the 7th grade and I used the scientific approach through observing, questioning, associating, experimenting, and networking. The activities I had to my students where engaging to the point that through role playing and group discussion they would learned something from it and they can actually relate it on their real life experiences.

        The lesson plans of SMP Labschool UPI are all in the form of Bahasa Indonesia and my mentor translated it for me so that I would able to understand it, I observed how he applied the lesson plan on the actual teaching. I was amazed the way he handle the class because he gained respect from the students and everyone were participating. After the observation I've had, he taught me about how to make a lesson plan and use it on my own strategies or methods on handling the class.
